What is Acupuncture?

I frequently get asked "What is Acupuncture and how does it work?".

Traditional Chinese Acupuncture is the act of inserting fine needles through the skin at very specific points to aid in the traversal of Qi (our bodys life force) throughout the body. Many times the reason that we get unwell or suffer from an ailment is because our Qi is unable to flow freely and can be blocked or slowed for various reasons.

More information that is preferably correct and not lifted from my memory or vague google searches.
